Today, GiveSmart released a new e-book titled "How to Host an Amazing Charity Event." The book is a good beginner's guide or refresher course in how to run charity events all the way from pre-planning to wrap-up.
The 50+ page book walks the reader through a host of event topics that may have been overlooked or not considered. It is a great resource for those who have never run a charity event before - or those who feel they may have gotten a little bit rusty.
The books is divided into four easy to navigate parts:
- Planning the charity event.
- Preparing for and setting up the event.
- The event itself.
- The follow-up after the event is done.
Topics include everything from using the five W's and one H of journalism to plan a charity event to getting the proper permits and licensing for whatever you are planning to do at your fundraiser to reviewing everything at the end of the night - and so much more.
It also includes lists of sometimes forgotten aspects of event planning, like taking into account parking and transportation options when selecting a venue - and making sure that ride services, such as Uber, Lyft, or even public transportation, are easily available should alcohol be served at the event.
Like all GiveSmart resources, "How to Host an Amazing Charity Event" is a free e-book.
